Mexican contemporary house in Puebla, Mexico
(Other), GIMP, Poser

This is actually the contemporary version of another house which had a more conventional style to it. This enables the main fachade to have a dialogue between positive and negative spaces, as well as lose the rigidity of the vertical vs horizonal with the sloped roof.
It was modelled in Shade8pro taking as reference the autocad drawings (which I edited in Progecad lt), uvmapped with ultimate unwrap3d, with some tweaking inside Shade's own uvmap editor. Illuminated only with one greyscale HDR image, with ambient occlusion. I thought of giving it a GI pass, but it would increase render time too much for confort. The tiles, vases, and walls of the house are procedural textures, the rest are bitmaps. Slightly edited the hues in Gimp. Human figure from Poser6
